KEY ACHIEVEMENTS
Dr. Buchner is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Calgary and the Director of Impact Research and Consulting. She is also the founder of the Canadian Foundation for Innovation in Health and Social Equality. She has more than 15 years experience conducting and managing innovative and socially engaged research, evaluation, and organizational strengthening projects inside and outside of Canada. She is well known for designing projects that endeavor to understand the needs and issues of vulnerable populations. Dr. Buchner has worked on projects in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Canada, Lao PDR, India, Swaziland, and Uganda. She has an extensive background in working for and with a wide spectrum of local organizations in Alberta, Canada, many of which provide services and support to vulnerable populations. She is a sought after researcher who has undertaken numerous qualitative and mixed methods studies that witness the power of weaving the voice of vulnerable populations into traditional research inquiry.
